Hope Community Newsletter
January 2024
In true traditional Christmas style, we had a bit of a crazy Christmas this year with lots of gatherings, gifts, knocking on doors and even a new baby! Our aim this Christmas was to bless our community, but they blessed us just as much!

Christmas Craft Boxes!
Over Christmas, we delivered FREE Christmas Craft boxes to 104 children from 43 families from the Cray, Belfield, Firgrove, Newbold and Milnrow areas (with a few going to families slightly further afield if they had attended our Christmas events). Each box contained 3 fantastic Christmas crafts, Colour-your own stickers, a Christmas story book, lots of messy goodies and even a colouring competition. Congratulations to our competition winner, Kai! We loved meeting lots of new families in our community through this, so we will definitely be releasing more craft boxes in the coming year. Keep your eyes on our Facebook page for more information.
Fun Time Christmas Party
79 people from our community came together for this year's Fun Time Christmas Party! We ate our weight in pizza and got up to lots of fun games, challenges and crafts, which we (slightly tenuously) managed to fit in with the Christmas story, as we explored the greatest Christmas gift the world has ever seen. We want to say a big thank you to all of our incredible volunteers, but especially to our young leaders, from our estate community, who helped to plan the party and make it such a special occasion.
Youth
Our Christmas youth session was spent making rudolph milkshakes, festive toasties, playing crazy Christmas games and delving deep into what Christmas means for us all as individuals
We can't wait to start up youth again in mid-January in our new, bigger venue! We've had some fast growth in numbers, meaning that a new venue has become necessary after just 5 youth sessions! Onwards and upwards!
Looking Forward to the New Year
There is lots to look forward to as we head into the new year! Without giving too many spoilers away, we have lots of new projects lined up to meet the needs of the community and share God's love in creative and impacting ways.
Welcoming...
Finally, we want to welcome to our community the beautiful Trinity Liu, born in early December to Bing and Sarah! Mum and baby are doing really well and they can't wait to meet the rest of the community soon.
Prayer Points
We would love for you to join us in prayer as we start 2024 prayerfully and expectantly. Below are some of the topics that we would love for you to be praying about!
Starting up new projects (CAP Life Skills, return of football, starting schools work)
Our amazing Young Leaders!
New venue for youth due to fast growth!
